With the file extension WQ1, the spreadsheet Corel Quattro Pro marked its spreadsheet (documents) documents in its proprietary format. This extension was used until version 4 for MS-DOS of the software.
A WQ1 file contains table cell values as well as formatting instructions and formulas. Quattro Pro is part of the WordPerfect Office suite and not available separately.
Most often resolving problems with opening WQ1 files is very simple. Just install an appropriate program that supports such files. All of the listed programs support WQ1 files, but may vary in offered function and purpose. Some programs may be capable only of viewing contents of WQ1 files or offer file conversion options, but may not be capable of editing such files.
It is possible that although a compatible program has been installed on user’s system, it is not used by the system to open it.
