The extension WB3 marks the proprietary format of the spreadsheet Quattro Pro for spreadsheets. Versions 7 and 8 used this extension.
In addition to the table cell values, a WB3 file also contains formatting instructions, formulas and possibly also macros. These macros may also contain malicious code, which is why, especially with WB3 files from unknown sources, it is advisable to virus check them before executing the macros.
Quattro Pro was developed by Borland and is now being developed and distributed by Corel. It is only available as part of the WordPerfect suite.

It is possible that although a compatible program has been installed on user’s system, it is not used by the system to open it. This may happen because no default application was associated with this type of files. To associate WB3 files with given application, select "Open with" from drop-down menu (accessed by right-clicking on the file). Then select from the list the program or application you want to be used to open this type of file. If the WordPerfect Office applications is not on the list, select "Browse" option in order to manually locate the directory where WordPerfect Office has been installed.
Sometimes problems with opening WB3 files may not lie with the application itself, but can arise due to other causes, such as:
