Files ending in GLY contain glossaries that were used by earlier versions of Microsoft Word. These files were used to convert glossaries between different versions of Word. The 50convrt.Gly, 55convrt.Gly, and 60convrt.Gly files were shipped with the MS Office for Windows 95 Resource Kit and were used to convert the Glossary entries to MS-DOS Word versions 7.0. The default glossary is included in the normal.Gly file.
Most often resolving problems with opening GLY files is very simple. Just install an appropriate program that supports such files. All of the listed programs support GLY files, but may vary in offered function and purpose. Some programs may be capable only of viewing contents of GLY files or offer file conversion options, but may not be capable of editing such files.
It is possible that although a compatible program has been installed on user’s system, it is not used by the system to open it.
