The proprietary format of Adobe Flash Professional is identified by the FLA extension.
These files contain the project data of a swf or flash file. It is editable and can not be played by a Flash player. For this, it has to be converted into the compressed format swf.

It is possible that although a compatible program has been installed on user’s system, it is not used by the system to open it.
