The file extension ASMX is used for so-called ASP.Net Web Services. ASMX is the support of XML based web services in the .Net framework. Asmx files are source code files for a .Net application that runs in the ASP.Net Runtime Host and which contain not only ASP.Net statements but also C # or Visual Basic code.
Most often resolving problems with opening ASMX files is very simple. Just install an appropriate program that supports such files. All of the listed programs support ASMX files, but may vary in offered function and purpose. Some programs may be capable only of viewing contents of ASMX files or offer file conversion options, but may not be capable of editing such files.
It is possible that although a compatible program has been installed on user’s system, it is not used by the system to open it.
