The file extension ACP marks so-called paper capture files of the Adobe Acrobat document software. Paper Capture is a plugin for Acrobat, which allows the user to process pdf with image texts (for example scanned pages) with a character recognition (OCR, Optical Character Recognition) and to create a text pdf document.
For each page of the original document, an ACP file is created, which can then be loaded into the Quick-Fix correction function or to link the pages to a document.
Newer Adobe Acrobat versions have the OCR function built in and no longer need the plugin Paper Capture.
Most often resolving problems with opening ACP files is very simple. Just install an appropriate program that supports such files. All of the listed programs support ACP files, but may vary in offered function and purpose. Some programs may be capable only of viewing contents of ACP files or offer file conversion options, but may not be capable of editing such files.

This may happen because no default application was associated with this type of files. To associate ACP files with given application, select "Open with" from drop-down menu (accessed by right-clicking on the file). Then select from the list the program or application you want to be used to open this type of file. If the Alfresco applications is not on the list, select "Browse" option in order to manually locate the directory where Alfresco has been installed.
Sometimes problems with opening ACP files may not lie with the application itself, but can arise due to other causes, such as:
